  • Just down the road from Maple Hill is Baldwin Creek, with multiple access points for fly fishing and small swimming holes, suitable for children.
  • The local swimming hole, Bartlett's Falls, is located along nearby New Haven River - less than a five minute drive away.
  • Right down the road is Robert Compton Pottery, a local artists workshop and gallery.
  • Among many nearby hiking trails there are multiple access points to the Long Trail, a popular favorite among locals and travellers.
  • The nearby towns of Bristol and Middlebury each boast their own summer attractions in various farmers markets, shops, cafes, and artist's galleries.
  • Every year, Festival on the Green is held in downtown Middlebury.
  • A short drive away you can find Mad River Glen, which hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the summer. Check out their schedule here!
  • Mad Marathon is held just over the mountain from us.
  • Once a year Addison County Field Days is held in New Haven in early August.
  • There are many nearby breweries worth visiting, and events to go with them! Popular destinations are Ciderstock and the Vermont Brewers Festival.
  • In nearby towns there are many museums, vineyards and art galleries to visit, including the lovely Shelburne Pond Studios, just down the road from the renowned Shelburne Museum.
